McKINNEY, Texas – September 24, 2026 – Simpson Strong-Tie, the world leader in engineered structural connectors and building solutions, has begun work on the expansion of its McKinney branch, a milestone that arrives as the company celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2026.
The project builds on a Texas presence that began in 1981 and reflects the company’s continued investment in North Texas. The expansion at 2151 South Airport Drive will grow capacity across the operation, from warehousing and production to the test lab and tooling functions that drive new product development.
What started with a single joist hanger in 1956 has become a company known worldwide for helping people build safer, stronger homes and buildings. Simpson Strong-Tie now offers more than 6,000 structural products used across residential, commercial, and industrial construction, and its McKinney branch is a key part of that national network.
The expansion delivers on three fronts. Additional production and warehouse space will strengthen product availability and distribution, and help the branch keep pace with growing demand. An expanded test lab and enhanced new tooling capabilities will support the rigorous testing and product development the company is known for. And improvements to the work environment and employee amenities reinforce its commitment to a safe, comfortable, and productive workplace.
