A recent report from Coworking Cafe has identified three North Texas towns—Frisco, Flower Mound, and McKinney—as among the best small cities in the U.S. for job opportunities. Frisco ranks 11th, with a median income of $145,444 and a notable 33% wage growth since 2019. Flower Mound follows at 15th, boasting a median income of $166,624 and 25% wage growth, while McKinney rounds out the list at 20th, with a median income of $124,177 and 34% wage growth. The report evaluated 298 cities with populations under 250,000, considering factors such as economic performance, workforce engagement, and quality of life.
This recognition highlights the growing trend of smaller cities emerging as competitive job markets, particularly in the Sun Belt region. The findings suggest that these towns are becoming attractive to both employers and job seekers due to their combination of economic opportunity, affordability, and quality living conditions. As remote work and labor market dynamics evolve, the emphasis on supportive public infrastructure—such as affordable housing and childcare—has become increasingly important for attracting skilled workers.
