Back to school season is here!
Here’s a quick update on what the MEDC team has been up to this summer, and some new info we’re rolling out to help communicate the mission and vision of our organization.
Mckinney ISD students are in great hands for the 2024-2025 school
year.
Over 350 new teachers were welcomed in McKinney late July at the New Teacher’s Breakfast. They stopped by each business and organization represented at the event and learned about the businesses, which followed with a program including Superintendent Shawn Pratt , MISD Board of Trustees President Philip Hassler, and GM of Brandon Tomes who gave $500 to a well-deserving new teacher! Seeing her joy and surprise was so special. This is always a fantastic event put on by the McKinney Chamber of Commerce and McKinney Economic Development Corporation was happy to sponsor. Madison Clark and Michael Kowski had a great day sharing all things McKinney EDC!
Looking forward to a great school year for all our teachers and students!
