McKinney, TX (August 24, 2026): The McKinney Economic Development Corporation (McKinney EDC) received four 2026 Excellence in Economic Development Awards from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). The awards recognize McKinney EDC’s work across four categories in the 200,000 to 500,000 population group, including three Silver awards and one Bronze award. McKinney EDC representatives will be honored at the IEDC 2026 Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, October 25 to 28.
McKinney EDC’s 2026 honors include:
- Regional or Cross-Border Partnership Award (Silver) for 121 North: Allen and McKinney 121 Corridor Joint Promotion
- Special Purpose Website Award (Silver) for McKinneyMenu.com, created initially for Byron Nelson guests
- Print Brochure Award (Silver) for the McKinney EDC Flagship Print Brochure
- Digital Media Award (Bronze) for the McKinney Momentum Video Podcast
