McKinney, Texas (January 6, 2022) — The McKinney Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) has announced the appointment of Michael Talley as the organization’s new senior vice president. Talley begins his role on January 10, 2022.
Talley will play a vital leadership role in MEDC’s business recruitment and expansion team and help contribute to the overall BRE strategy.
Prior to joining MEDC, Talley served as the Director of Economic Development for Denton County for the past three years, working with over 40 communities identifying target areas in industrial and corporate development opportunities to fit their goals and objectives. Talley was also the Director of Economic Development in the City of Keene for four years and has an extensive background in commercial and residential real estate.
A fifth generation Texan, born in Dallas, Talley holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a graduate of The University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute.
Talley is excited to continue his work in the economic development sector and to build on relationships within the business community of McKinney, Dallas-Fort Worth and across the country while attracting more great companies to the area.

Talley lives in McKinney with his wife, Amanda, and two kids, Saylor and Koa. They enjoy travelling, sporting events and appreciate all that McKinney has to offer while raising their family.
