In May 2024, McKinney voters approved four of five propositions according to the unofficial election results from the Collin County Election Administrator. The total bond package was proposed at approximately $485.5 million in funding.
- Proposition A passed. Proposition A called for the issuance of $106,000,000 for parks and recreation improvements.
- Proposition B failed. Proposition B called for the issuance of $36,000,000 for a municipal courts facility.
- Proposition C passed. Proposition C called for the issuance of $30,000,000 for public works south campus improvements.
- Proposition D passed. Proposition D called for the issuance of $70,000,000 for public safety facilities.
- Proposition E passed. Proposition E called for the issuance of $243,500,000 for street improvements.
