Dynacraft and Independent Financial selected as winners at the McKinney Chamber of Commerce Community Awards
McKINNEY, Texas (Feb. 24, 2020) – The McKinney Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is proud to announce the winners of its 2020 business awards presented at the annual McKinney Chamber of Commerce Community Awards. This year, MEDC selected Dynacraft as the recipient of its Corporate Performance Award and Independent Financial as the recipient of the Business Retention and Expansion Program Encore Wire Award.
Corporate Performance Award
The Corporate Performance Award is presented to a new McKinney company that demonstrates unique attributes that positively impact the quality of life in the community.
Dynacraft has an aggressive growth strategy over the next few years to add additional product lines to the McKinney facility and partner with the city and MEDC to support that growth.
“The MEDC was very helpful throughout the process of site selection, construction, and commissioning of our excellent McKinney facility,” said Paul McCormick, Dynacraft General Manager. Dynacraft supports nine product lines and employs 300 associates at its McKinney facility. “With the relocation of our division office in May, we reinforced our commitment to continued growth in McKinney.”

Dynacraft is a division of PACCAR, a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of high-quality light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF nameplates. PACCAR also designs and manufactures advanced powertrains, provides financial services and information technology, and distributes truck parts related to its principal business.
Business Retention and Expansion Program Encore Wire Award
The Business Retention and Expansion Program Encore Wire Award is presented to a McKinney company that completed a significant expansion, including capital investment and increased employment. The company also demonstrates unique attributes that positively impact the quality of life in our community.
Last year, McKinney-based Independent Financial moved into it’s new 150,000-square-foot new corporate headquarters at the McKinney Corporate Center Craig Ranch with plans to bring up to 400 new jobs to the city.
