McKINNEY, Texas – The McKinney Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is pleased to announce the addition of Glynnis Woolridge to its team, bringing more than two decades of award-winning expertise in strategic communications, brand leadership, and workforce innovation.
She will serve as the organization’s Director of Strategy and Operations, working alongside the President/CEO in the capacity of a Chief of Staff to drive strategic alignment, operational efficiency, and organizational performance.
Glynnis joins MEDC from Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas, where she established and led the organization’s Workforce Development Strategy and Innovation function across a 14-county region. In that role, she provided operational and budget oversight, led cross-functional teams, and launched forward-thinking initiatives that strengthened workforce and economic development outcomes throughout North Texas.
Prior to her work at Workforce Solutions, Glynnis held senior leadership positions across a wide range of industries, serving organizations from early-stage startups to Fortune 50 corporations, as well as nonprofit organizations and institutions of higher education. A trusted advisor to C-Suite executives, her background spans strategic planning, organizational change, thought leadership, media relations, marketing, and business development. Over the course of her career, she has helped generate more than $200 million in contracts and grant awards.
Known for pairing foresight with storytelling, Glynnis has built a reputation for turning big ideas into measurable impact. Her experience aligns closely with MEDC’s mission to attract, grow, and support businesses that strengthen McKinney’s economic future.
Glynnis holds a Master of Management in Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from San Jose State University.
