2 Dallas neighbors rank among safest U.S. suburbs in 2025 – CultureMap Dallas

In a recent report by SmartAsset, two Dallas suburbs, McKinney and Frisco, have been recognized as among the safest in the United States for 2025, ranking 9th and 10th respectively. The rankings were based on a comprehensive analysis of violent crime rates, property crime rates, drug overdoses, traffic fatalities, and excessive drinking rates. Notably, McKinney and Frisco are part of Collin County, which boasts low drug overdose death rates and a traffic fatality rate of 6.88 per 100,000 residents.

This recognition highlights the ongoing appeal of these suburbs, which have previously appeared on similar safety lists from other organizations. McKinney has also been noted for its affordability and livability, ranking as the most affordable place to live earlier this year. The report underscores the importance of safety and cost of living in residential decisions, particularly for families. As urban areas continue to evolve, the safety trends in these suburbs may influence future housing and community development strategies.
